FAQ of Concert Tickets

Do the tickets need to be printed for the concerts in Budapest?

No, our online ticket office generates an automated electronic voucher, which can be shown on any digital device. If you print the tickets it is not a problem, but it is not a must.

Are concert tickets transferable and used by another Guest?

Yes, it should not be a problem, but please contact us to let us know about a change of name.

Can I change the ticket for another date of the concert I purchased?

Changing the date or category of your ticket is subject to availability. We will try our best to assist you with your intended change.

Do you offer group discounts, student discounts?

Yes, for most concerts, concert parties or shows we offer a reduced ticket price. Please check the program page and the booking form for the exact ticket price.

For groups we also offer more simple payment methods (bank transfer, charging form)

What does it mean if my ticket is marked ‘left’ or ‘right’?

Your ticket for the main auditorium will be marked LEFT or RIGHT depending on whether your seat is on the left or right side of the concert hall / auditorium. Please ensure that you follow the signage on the stairs, as once inside the auditorium itself it’s impossible to cross from one side to the other.

Do you sell tickets for the Hungarian Opera House?

No, currently we are not selling tickets for opera and ballet performances in the Hungarian State Opera House. You can buy tickets on their website directly.

Is there a dress code?

The dress code depends on which concert venue you choose. Needless to say, church concerts require a decent garment which any church visit requires. Classical concerts in palace venues (like Pesti Vigado) require a smart casual or smart dress. Cruise concerts, concert parties are completely casual or smart casual (feel free to dress up or down).

When can I arrive at the Concerts?

Please make sure you leave plenty of time to find your concert venue in Budapest, and also your seat, especially if you are a first time visitor to Budapest. Budapest is often found surprisingly big and beautifully complex by first time visitors. Although the public transport is very efficient, and there are many taxi companies, please allow time to arrive at the concert in time. We recommend you arrive a minimum of 30 minutes before the performance starts. This will also allow you to use the cloakroom, or to have a drink perhaps. If you prefer to use the lift please also consider that lifts can get busy before the concert. Performances start promptly and latecomers cannot be admitted.

Do you offer hiring venues for concerts / balls / conferences / weddings?

Yes, we can assist you with organising a private rental of a concert hall. Please contact us  via email for a quote, with the date / group size / program of your choice.

Can I take food and drink into the auditorium?

Food and drink are not permitted in the auditorium.

Is it possible to record or photograph the performance?

The use of cameras and recording equipment is strictly forbidden in concert halls / auditoriums of a show. However, you may record casual concerts on venues like the boats of a Budapest river cruise.
